Terms & Conditions

A reservation forms a contract between Adelaide House and the Guest for provision and payment of accommodation as detailed. Adelaide House can accept no responsibility for guests booking unsuitable accommodation. Suitability should be checked with us by phone or Email at time of booking, especially if stairs are an issue. Adelaide House does not accept groups nor Hen/Stag parties and reserves the right to refuse or cancel a reservation considered inappropriate.

Reservations

A credit or debit card is required in order to make a reservation.

The card will be pre-authorised for the total amount of your stay 5 days prior to your arrival.

Payment due during your stay.

We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express credit cards;

Maestro (Domestic), Electron, and Visa debit cards.

We cannot accept Maestro International cards as a guarantee, although we can accept them for final payment.

NOTE: If your card is declined at this point, the booking will be cancelled.

The card of the person or agent responsible for the booking will be debited with any additional costs incurred during your stay, including any arising after departure, unless other payment methods are offered and approved prior to departure. This will include theft or damage to our property. If it is found guests have been smoking in the room, a charge of £50 will be debited to your card to cover additional cleaning and lost income whilst the room is aired.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, no charge.

If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.

In case of no-show, or cancellation on the day of arrival, the total price of the booking will be charged.

 

When a reservation has a specified minimum stay, cancellation of part of your booking is not permitted if it reduces your stay below the minimum specified.

Where a reservation is cut short after arrival the stay will be subject to payment in full.


Keys

If keys are lost or not returned on departure, a replacement fee of £20 per set will be charged to the room account. In the case of debit/credit card bookings, the card of the person or agent responsible for the booking will be debited with the replacement fee unless other payment methods are offered and approved.

Liability and Damages

Guests are responsible for leaving rooms in the condition they were in upon arriving. We reserve the right to add the costs of any damages or theft of hotel property to a guest’s account after departure. In the case of debit/credit card bookings, the card of the person or agent responsible for the booking will be debited with the costs, for which receipts will be provided, unless other payment methods are offered and approved.

We would also like to remind guests to have consideration for other guests, so when leaving/arriving or whilst in their rooms to keep noise to a respectable level, as ‘excessive noise and/or disturbances’ will result in you being asked to leave and pay for your whole visit.

Guests of Patrons

Patrons will be held fully responsible for the conduct of any guest they choose to bring to the hotel as far as any liability and damages are concerned, and therefore incur any costs.

No more than three non-resident visitors in a room at any one time.

No one, other than the registered guests to be in a room after 10pm or overnight.

Smoking

Adelaide House is strictly a non-smoking hotel. Guests who smoke in their room will be charged a £50 fee towards additional cleaning and loss of income caused by the need to extensively ventilate the room prior to re-letting. We reserve the right to add these costs to a guest’s account after departure. In the case of debit/credit card bookings, the card of the person or agent responsible for the booking will be debited with the costs, for which receipts will be provided if required.
